Dingbro Ltd is a family business, that started trading in Fraserburgh out of a small, 1000sq foot unit in 1973. Since then its grown to become the largest independent motor factor in Scotland, employing over 1,300 staff. Dingbro’s storage area now exceeds 300,000sq feet across 26 sites throughout Scotland.
The company is a wholesale distributor of motor vehicle components, body-shop supplies and paint, plus truck and trailer parts. Dingbro is strictly a trade-only supplier to the motor trade, truck operators, plant operators, offshore industry, oil service companies, marine engineers, shipping and ship chandlers.
Dingbro supplies a wide range of products from the original equipment component manufacturers, ranging from small Bosch repair parts for diesel & fuel injection, to suspension air bags and brake drums for large lorries and cranes. It even supplies filters and batteries for deep sea oil tankers and cruise liners.
Stock holdings within the company now exceed £22 million, with over 250,000 part lines on their active stock list. There’s at least one daily delivery for customers living in all areas of the mainland covered by Dingbro branches, from the Central Belt and Borders in the South, to Caithness in the North. Many areas even enjoy hourly service. Branches also service Orkney, Shetland, and the Western Isles by ferry.
